DKNY SS 2013

I really like DKNY take on sportswear.
Taking notes: hot high slits, leather details, baseball caps, backpacks and boyfriend jeans combined with crisp white.

What do you think of New York Fashion Week so far?

thin thin straps

With the first few days of New York fashion week, I've already noticed something I'd like to adapt into my wardrobe next summer or even before.
Whether it's a leather harness, belt, or simply thin shoe and bra straps.

From top left corner: white shoes at Alexander Wang, leather harness at Jason Wu, black shoes at Alexander Wang, bra at Victoria Beckham

from uptown to down

7 Av X 40th Street and everything around Times Square. The area, I tried to avoid when possible
Upper East Side

Bryant Park between 40th and 42nd Streets, one of my favorite parks in NY

Lower East Side and East Village, I wish I had spent more time around there. Next time!

theory

I wouldn't mind a van full of clothes from Theyskens theory!
Saw this van parked there when I walked by Theory offices and flagship store on Gansevoort Street in Meatpacking district.

I know that wish is unrealistic, but I still chose my favorites from their fall collection. Just something cosy for fall, long skirts, chunky knits and leather backpacks.

new month

Switched from 30 degrees Celsius to 15, from shorts to jeans and from busy streets of New York back to quiet but still sunny Tartu in Estonia.

beatandpulse

I was working for Kate Spade New York with photographer's duo Daemian & Christine the other day and in the end of the day they also snapped this quick photo of me, when I was still wearing the pretty-pretty make-up and super straight hair from the shoot.
I found it from their blog, where they have many stunning b/w portraits.

Thanks to them I also just discovered a project called Nectar & Pulse, which means local 'soulmates' sharing insider tips about their hometown. Featured cities are Stockholm, London, Vienna, Berlin, Barcelona, Paris and many more. Click here to see what Daemian and Christine had to say about New York.
