naked&famous jeans

somehow I have lived at least past 6 years without wearing any real blue jeans, always black and only black...and now I have switched sides again.
By fortunate accident I am now owner of men's jeans from Canadian company Naked&Famous that uses high-quality and most amazing rare denim fabrics produced in Japan. By rare and unique I mean blended fabrics like cashmere, silk, wool and camel hair denim. No fuss, just top quality denim and modern fits, no washes or embroidery.

Izakayas in Asakusa

Izakayas in Japan are a bit like wine&tapas bars in Spain, you sit by the bar, order beer and then a variety of small snacks like edamame beans or grilled meat on skewers. They are casual places for after-work drinking. The traditional red lanterns outside indicate that drinks and food are served on the premises.

Fashion notes from Tokyo vol 2

This Saturday my second and last Tokyo fashion diary was published in Arter. Now looking forward to new adventures to write about!

See a little preview here and then go read the full article.

I was about to buy one the soft ones for myself but couldn't decide between the colours. Check out her site for more styles and maybe you'll even find some DIY inspiration.

Guide: good smoothie and juice bars in Tokyo

Tokyo is not like health/diet fanatic New York where you find cold pressed juices and superfood smoothies on every street corner.
Out of very few smoothie bars I found, many of them didn't boast with very good quality or taste. On some occasions smoothies were more like overly sweet fruit cocktails rather than healthy drinks. After 1,5 months I learned at least something and knew where to go for a good one..

I list some of favourites here for the next visit to Tokyo

Urban Research's Greenbar with a mascot bear named Smelly.
inside Q Plaza Harajuku, 1st Floor
6-28-6 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo

Beside smoothies and coffee they also had a selection of jewelry and nailpolishes that (unintentionally) matched with the green smoothie.

Bebible

Acai smoothie - I loved the thick texture that made it very fulfilling and replaced a light lunch.

Cosme Kitchen Juicery
The Juicery is sidebusiness of Cosme Kitchen - the best store in Tokyo for organic beauty/hair/health products
located just inside Daikanyama Station
smoothie I tried was good, juice not so...

ELLE Café
Roppongi Hills, 6-10-1, Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo ‎

prettiest juices I have ever seen!

I had a smoothie called "Roots Rouge" -  finally a smoothie with a lot of ginger in it, that hot spicy kick was exactly what I needed.

Meiji Jingu Shrine

Meiji Shrine is located close busy Harajuku station but it's surrounded by large forest making it one of the most peaceful places in Tokyo. It's not far from my apartment in Shibuya but somehow I hadn't been there until last Sunday.

I was lucky to witness a Japanese wedding ceremony. The bride and groom looked just spectacular in the traditional wedding clothing.
